Creative rEvolution--Year 11,  day 100

Winter hibernation day 10--

Waking to another cold and drizzly day here on Muse Mountain, I'm following the lead of my cats and just staying abed. A cold's wrapped it's nasty tendrils around my throat, so I'm feeling a little under- ground is a good idea.

Indeed, my creative side is screaming for rest and relaxation and that makes my productive side a bit uncomfortable and edgy. I really SHOULD be doing something, many somethings--perhaps madly shopping until I'm dropping. But that's not my winter wonderland, thank you very much. I really do believe a part of me is bear and would rather just stay in bed for the whole month of December. And, gratefully, my creative life-style has arranged my life to support just that.

Despite what they may tell you, that you must perpetually be creating to be an artist, creativity requires a good deal of retreat and recharge to keep it sustainable for a lifetime. And, though perhaps I could deliberate on that for a bit and share my thoughts about it, I don't really want to. So,  instead I'm going to listen to my sleepy muse and retire for a rest--

See you on a future random moment in time.
